Subject: Simple example that we shoud keep sabbat |
Bible Note: "Did I say that Jesus Christ did not follow it, I never say that, please if you want to make a discussion dont tell a lie. You accusing me here with things that I never committed. " I am sorry for my inflammatory remarks. What I was trying to say was that I felt like you were saying that there were two ways to keep Torah. Could I quote you from a previous post? "Are you suggesting that we have to keep the sabbath like what moses observed it or the one of Jesus Christ?" To which I responded: "I disagree with your opinion that God would give instruction and Messiah would not follow it." Your post seemed to indicate that God had at different times expected Sabbath to be kept differently. I do my best not to lie, and I don't appreciate being called such. It just feels to me like you are trying to be inflammatory. But I will answer your questions for I think the third time. "Did you observed the law correctly?" No. I can't. But I do the best I can by the grace of God. "Did you stoned to death you brother and sisters caught in adultery did you do that?" No. It isn't my job to decide who gets stoned or to do that. That is a job for the elders of the community. Please see previous posts on the other thread for the biblical reason for this. "If you find them gathering stick in the day of sabbath did you kill them?" No. See answer above. "Are you really dont go out your place in the day of sabbath?" I don't Travel out of town. Besides I don't keep any Anise in the house. I never said the Torah justified us. Never. Can't happen. Won't happen. Will never fall out of my mouth. If I did say anything that insinuated that I would be deeply sorry for saying so. That would be leading people away from the Gospel. The only thing that I ever said was NT never said that we should ignore our tutor, Torah. Imagine our parents paying for a tutor and us just sitting there ignoring him. How do do you think they would react? I said that I haven't found scripture telling me "Don't keep God's Sabbath." As a matter of fact I have found a few pieces of scripture that refer to Sabbath with positive instruction in Acts 15:20 and 21 Peter instructs new gentile believers to go to synagogue to find out the true instructions from Torah, not just the lopsided instructions that Paul's enemies (he referred to them as "the Judiaizers", "the Circumcision" or "the Law" at various times). Notes on Mt 23:23, Mt 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Did I ever say that a person should leave judgment, charity, mercy and faith out of life in order to keep Sabbath? No in my explanation of how someone was to be punished for violation of the Torah I clearly explained that the reason for having to go before the elders is so that justice, mercy, charity and faith may be observed. Otherwise it would be like mob justice. God doesn't want you to be part of the unthinking mob. He wants you to hear His Word. He wants you to ask Him what it means and He wants you to listen to Him when He tells you. He told me to find peace and rest in Him. There was no peace in my life. I worked seven days a week. Five on the Job, one at home and one at church. You were designed to need rest. God purposed it into you. To lead you to His rest. It was a seal on the foundation of the Earth. It is His Sabbath. Not mine or the Jew's, but God's. You can pick any day of rest you want, but is it God's day of rest? The Lord lead me to sanctify His day in my house with my wife and children. He has blessed me from above my nose to below my toes because of it. That no one can do away with. Baruch HaShem |
