But just speaking from a theoretical point of view, Jacob and Rachel [Genesis 29:20] probably did have a wedding celebration since she was his betrothed. However, the same could not have been true with Leah who became his wife first. The implication of this is that couples who consider themselves "just living together" may actually be creating a "marriage".:-) |
