NASB | Job 8:14 Whose confidence is fragile, And whose trust a spider's web. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Job 8:14 For his confidence is fragile and breaks, And his trust is [like] a spider's web. |
Bible Question: what does the spider resperents in the bible, good or evil? Can someone please explain. |
Bible Answer: Job 8:14 14 What he trusts in is fragile [a] ; what he relies on is a spider's web. Isaiah 59:5 5 They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider's web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, and when one is broken, an adder is hatched. I looked on biblegateway.com and the only meaning of spiders that I could find was involved with hypocracy(Job). If you look at Isaiah's prophecy, the spider's eggs are indeed causes of evil. |
