Bible Question: Could someone explain Job 4:17-21? |
Bible Answer: These Verses are stating in context of my opnion that Eliphaz speeks to Job that he has seen a apparition in the nite.. the appariation does ask 2 rhetorical questions. Can mortals be righteous before God? Can human begins be pure before their Maker? both refering to us being in the presence or close to God. The answer to this is "NO" to God we cannot be righteous or Pure that is too God. who is perfect. but to man we can be righteous. Righteousness is something as a Christian you should strive for on a earthly standpoint though we will never compare or be close to God. we are as filthy rags to him in our works but on earth we can be righteous. Spiritual Righteousness. As for Pure i feel that we can only be pure when we ask God to forgive us for our sins... Though we sin so much Physically we are NEVER pure but spiritually we can become pure for the time being of no sin... hope it helps |
