Bible Question: What are the birds in Job 39:13 ? Their is a great deal of conflict between different tanslations as to what this verse says. Do any of these acurately tranlate what the birds are and what it says about them? If anyone Knows anything about the original version is their a living animal that these translate to? |
Bible Answer: TyRex, Young's Literal Translation says, "The wing of the rattling ones exulteth, Whether the pinion of the ostrich or hawk." King James has peacocks and ostrich. The word for the first bird is 'alac (Strong's 05965), which means to rejoice. there is another word for peacock, tukkiy (Strong's 08500). The ostrich is nowtsah (Strong's 05133), is translated feathers elsewhere. I hope I didn't confused you, too much, Searcher |
