Bible Question:
Hello to all In Job 34:10 it states "far be it from God to do wickedness." People use this verse to say that God cannot act wickedly, therefore, he will not send us to hell... can someone explain to me what this verse means? Thanks Julia |
Bible Answer: God is NOT acting wickedly when he sends people to hell. He is doing justice. God has already done EVERYTHING HE COULD DO to prevent people from going to hell. He has sent his son to die for us. If some people choose to go against God, why would God bring those people to heaven? Also, God doesn't just "send" people to hell. For example, if babies are born but die before they can gain understanding of God, God brings them to heaven. He might also do this to children. Our God is a caring God. This is just like how people say "our God is a jealous God". God is only jealous because he doesn't want our faith to be put into something else. He wants the best FOR US. Thus, God is NOT wicked. He has to do justice. He cannot bring evil people to heaven. Also, this is why there are so many missionaries around. Missionaries have to spread the gospel to those who do NOT know the gospel. Maybe, those people might be able to go to heaven. God has given us TIME to spread the gospel. God is far from wicked. He CANNOT be wicked. Hope this helps, soconfusedinthisworld :) |
