Bible Question:
Well, is it is good that this is restricted? I have decided that if God wants me to treat fine art nudes as sinful, I shall choose to shoot them anyway. MY GOD does not feel that a non-erotic nude female is sinful. I am sorry that there are a group of christians that feel that they know MY God's mind. There is only one God and he is mine! I will share him with even you rude christians but how Christ-like is being rude? I had considered stopping all me FigureNUDE photography but hearing the rants here without a SINGLE applicable scripture makes this my choice to you guys: If I must burn in hell for shooting nude women, according to YOUR version of God, then I choose your hell. MY Christ died for the sins of all and took the form of man and was killed.I guess Jesus was God's way of commiting Godly suicide? He knew that he would be killed if he came so coming was suicide? Poor weak humans even have a dislike of ''cruel/unusual'' punishment and torture. I guess we poor humans are acting better in a way than a God who would put one in hell forever? There a couple of splinters you mighty Christ-like forumers can hammer on. Point out just 3 schriptures thar obviously deal with nudity besides the ones in Genisis. All we learn from Genisis about nudity is that we should not use plants like cotten etc. for clothes. The first innocent lives were taken by God to make fur coats. OUCH where was PETA? Oops! Another biblical delima. Why couldn't God just speak clothes into existance? I only came here to try to find the biblical scriptures that tell of Gods attitude about nude art. Look where we have gotten. Wait! You guys are preaching to the choir! I am in the congregatioin and was not invited in. I guess I will leave soon. |
Bible Answer: Hi, Curtis Neeley! Part of the problem you are having is that you are separating God from life... When a person believes in God, God exists in every part of that person's life! Sadly, some people create a conglomerate of doctrines and attempt to identify their mixture as a Christian doctrine... so it is easy to get confused about God, His Ways, Christ, Redemption, Salvation, and Christian worship... Nudity is not a debatable issue! God forbids it, and that is final! Does God distinguish between art nudity and sensual nudity? Yes! But the problem is not what God thinks about nudity... the problem is man's capacity for misusing his liberty... Adam and Eve you know about... but did you understand it? God did not react to their nudity (as we know they were nude before they became aware of it) God objects to how we process the knowledge that we possess: Adam and Eve hid from God because they became aware of their nakedness and understood their sexuality! Our nakedness in Scripture is not seen as a sign of artistic beauty but as a sing of sexuality or disgrace: Your nakedness will be exposed and your shame uncovered. I will take vengeance; I will spare no one." (Isaiah 47:3) Even the bravest warriors will flee naked on that day," declares the LORD. (Amos 2:16) These (above) examples deal with the everyday life of Israel (the people of God)... following is a list of passages that deal with doctrinal (worship) statues: Genisis 9:22-23; Exodus 20:26; 28:42; 32:25-28; Leviticus 16:4; 18:6-19; 20:11, 17-19, 21; As for Jesus incarnation, death, resurrection, and ascension... we cannot dictate morals to God... it is the other way around! If God chose to come to us in a body similar to ours, if He chose to die in our stead, if He chose to become the Sacrificial Gift... who are we to judge Him... Now... to renounce God because other people do not agree with our personal expressions or to reject God because others reject us or to return to past sins because we feel hurt by the judgment of others... it is a grave error from which we may never recover... you see?... it is not God that condemns us to Hell... it is we who choose our selves and our own ways instead of God and His Way! If you truly reject God (are in disbelief)... I suggest that you read the Bible... slowly; start with John, then 1st and 2nd John, then Matthew, then Galatians and Ephesians; from there go to Hebrews, James, 1st and 2nd Peter, then Jude... once done with these start with the Old Testament books--combine a reading from Genesis, Psalms, and the corresponding Scripture in the New Testament books (you must have a Bible with a built-in concordance or use both a Bible and a concordance)... every single time that you start your Bible study begin by asking God to allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and enlighten you... Remember that we are called to humble ourselves to Christ, and He will exalt us! God Bless! Angel |
