One answer is there were five trials of Job ... -Oxen and donkeys are stolen and farm hands are killed by marauders (1:13-15). -Sheep and herdsmen are burned by fire (1:16). -Cattle are stolen and servants killed (1:17). -Sons and daughters are killed in a wind storm (1:13-15). -Job is struck with a terrible case of boils (2:7).
