AMPLIFIED 2015 | Esther 4:14 "For if you remain silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father's house will perish [since you did not help when you had the chance]. And who knows whether you have attained royalty for such a time as this [and for this very purpose]?" |
Bible Question:
What did Mordecai mean when he told Esther for what he said in Esther 4:14. |
Bible Answer: Hi Mordecai's point was that if Esther did not stand up for the truth then she and her family would suffer the consequences. However it was not to be thought that God depended on Esther. God could always do His delivering in another way, and would in fact do so. However what Esther had to consider was whether God had not put her in the right place at the right time precisely so that she could serve God in this way. |
