Subject:  Rev 22:12 and post millennial judgement?

Bible Note:  I would like to respond to E.Smith and CDBJ, Thank you both for your responses and the opportunity to study together.

I partially agree with you both and I think we are definitely in the same ballpark. It is clear in the word that after the time of the white throne/1000 year judgement is the second death for the wicked. Which brings me to Hebrews 9:27.

CDBJ the text actually reads “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Greek, ABP, KJV, MKJV). This is an important differentiation because 1Pe 3:18 says “For Christ also once suffered for sins,…” Very simply, both of these texts are linked with the idea of having only one chance for salvation, that is, there are no further opportunities for the lost to be saved after their death. No preaching to the saints in hell, no purgatory, no second chance after a secret rapture, no transubstantiation, (I will stop there).

CDBJ is there a difference between being judged for you works, and being rewarded for your works in Rev 22:12? I’m not sure. Also I don’t know what (BEMA) means.

CDBJ, regarding “those born during the millennium” Mark 12:25 says “For when they shall rise from the dead (Matt- in the resurrection), they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but they are as the angels in Heaven.” This seems to indicate that we will no longer (by association) procreate once we are in heaven (I believe the millennium for the saved will be spent in heaven). If this is the case then there will be no need for concern for there will be no new born. (I am not sure how I feel about that given I have no kids of my own, but I am sure the pleasure of being with our saviour and the wonders awaiting us will fulfil us for ever more).
