Bible Question: My friend really feels like they are not really growing in their Christian walk. They are really questioning the foundation of their faith. I would really like to help them out and steer them in the right direction but I don't know exactly how to do that. They have a bible college bachelor's degree and have a lot of knowledge but I think if the foundation is starting to crumble, how are they to build upon their faith without a solid foundation. |
Bible Answer: boober: Welcome to the Forum! Might I suggest a name change, it is questionable why you chose the name and I personally thought you might be a jokester, except for you question which seems genuine. 2 Peter 1:3-11 gives you Gods Word for an answer. Read it over several times and you will see that if we follow Peters list then we won't be innefective or unproductive. Don't equate knowledge or degrees with being spiritual. Some of the so called Biblical experts with degrees from the hands to the sholders have proven to be fools as far as spiritual wisdom is concerned. A Recent TV PBS progran on the Box that James was perhaps in, was proof of that. Watch RELIGION and ETHICS on PBS and you will see wise fools! Your friends may be carnal, or unsaved, or need prayer in a mighty way. When my wife and I were in ministry we often wondered if we had anyone praying for us. We faced hell on earth several times, only Gods mercy pulled us through. You sound very concerned about your friends. Have you told them how much you care? Perhaps you can help and be a burden barer for them? I can tell you share the Scripture I gave you and pray with them in their home if you can. God can use you! Blessings to you. justme |
