Bible Question (short): Pre-marital Sex and Church Leadership |
Question (full): In many conservative churches, we have seen examples of some men in church leadership ministry (pastor, elder, deacon, minister, etc.) who, after having been caught in adultery, have been removed from ministry, who no longer have effective ministries, and who are no longer able to serve in those capacities. My question is: If a man had premarital sex while as a youth and as a Christian, should he biblically be considered for and allowed to serve in a leadership position (as pastor, elder, deacon, minister, etc.)? |
