Bible Question: Were we truly children of God before God's redemptive plan through His son took place? (In the Old Testament, was our role to be God's children?) |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... John 1:12; Rom 5:8, 11:11-24 ... Dave9x, Welcome to the forum. I hope I am understanding your question. We aren't children of God until we believe (John 1:12). In fact we were His enemies (Rom 5:8). As Gentiles we had to be grafted in (Rom 11:11-24). My understanding that Gentiles had to become Jews to be considered God's children. I think there was still a stimga ... and it carried over into the church (Acts 15). I hope I answered your question Searcher |
