Subject: Repentance and Confession - obedience? |
Bible Note: Yes, by what has been done for us, I mean to refer to Rom 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." This is what has already been done FOR us, which means "for the sake of, in behalf of, instead of." And, allow me to emphasize that Christ died for sinners, not "obedient" people (Mark 2:17). Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. Tim |
