Bible Question (short): Judas paradox |
Question (full): This question has bothered me for years and I don’t even know how to ask it. Ok, in order to save us from sin Jesus had to be crucified. Was that God’s will? If so, then by His will somebody had to betray Jesus and people then had to be ordered to crucify him in order for this to take place. What if no one would have wanted to betray him and carry out the crucifixion? Then Jesus would not have been crucified and we would not have been saved. What if it hadn’t happened? Since it had to happen, did Judas and those who carried out his crucifixion make it to Heaven? If they had chosen otherwise how would we have been saved? Please pardon my awkwardness in asking this, but it seems like such a paradox and there had to be bad people. Please help me to understand this in the simplest terms possible. |
