Subject: hoyy spirit bap. evidence tounges? |
Bible Note: You have basically answered your own question. You have no proof that the Eunich or Lydia spoke in tongues after they were baptized. Your proof must be the bible...not what you think. Because if it is what you think, then aren't you preaching a different gospel than what the bible is? I have shown you in scripture where they recieved the Holy Ghost with out tongues..is is plain as day. What do you mean you are glad you don't have to say why you speak in tongues. Are you ashamed of the gospel (Rom 1:16)? What do you mean the Eunuch didn't receive the Spirit? Philip said all he had to do was believe Acts 8:37. And since he believed, then Ephesians 1:13 fits him well. "In Him, you also, after LISTENING to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation-having also BELIEVED, you were SEALED with the HOLY SPIRIT of PROMISE"? So are you saying there are two different promises of the HOLY SPIRIT? Well since you say you are glad you don't have to say why you speak in tongues, then I expect you not to answer this last question and NOT defend what you believe in. Since Acts 2:4-11 teaches that when men spoke in tongues (i.e., "as the Spirit gave the utterance"), they spoke actual, understandable human languages, why believe that any other cases of tongue speaking were in languages which could not be understood (e.g., Acts 10:46, 19:6, 1 Cor. 12-14)? I'd love to hear your response. MJ |
