Bible Question:
I believe there is a passage somewhere in the bible that, at least in essence, says that "you should not ware your religion on your sleeve". Does anyone know where that passage is or if in fact it is, in essence, in the bible. I assume King James version. Thank you Rick in Cleveland |
Bible Answer: Hi Rick, I have never read that particular verse, however I have read: Matthew 7:6 "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under your feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." This is when the other person (mostly the unbeliever) doesn't want to hear about God, but I don't think that we can hide our relationship with God, It says in Matthew 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is on a hill can not be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house." Besides, I think that if we are truly a Christian, we will not have to say a word. It will be all over our faces. :) Misty |
