Subject: Why believe in the physical Ressurection |
Bible Note: Greetings Schimc! I can't speak for Mommabs, but I would disagree with your assessment of the Gospels. 2 Tim. 3:16-17 says: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." And, 2 Peter 1:20-21 says: "Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." So, the human authors did not take 'privileges' as you put it. Rather, they wrote what the Holy Spirit inspired them to write. Thus, the accounts are inspired by God.
