Bible Question:  In Matthew Chp 1, what is the significance of the fact that of the 4 women listed in Jesus' ancestory, 3 are gentiles? Chusarcik

Bible Answer:  Gentile blood in Jesus' blood line indicates the universal scope of the Gospel for "all nations." (Matt 28:19)

It is also worth noting that Abrahm was a Gentile.

Matthew also defuses any accusations that the Gentile women in Jesus' geneology and any questions about his mother's morality by listing the women who are also in David and Solomon's geneology. Three out of the four (all except Ruth) are associated with some sort of immorality.
