Bible Question:
my view is that Adam and Eve were created in the same way God created the angels-so why are they treated differently than the angels and what scripture are you using to say yes? Or were the angels created diffrently than man what scripture? I'm not looking for an opinion but would like to know if we can find this answer in the Word.Thanks. |
Bible Answer: I see no where in Scripture where we are told how the angels were created. In Genesis 2 we are told how God created Adam and Eve (2:7). The Bible is silent on God's dealing with the angels. The focus of the Bible is God's dealing with men and women-mankind sinners. The Bible does not tell us much about the angels, but we do know much about man. The only Scripture that comes to my mind on the difference between men and angels is Hebrews 2:1-18-in these verses we are told that God created man/Adam "a little while lower than the angels"-Adam was called to be the crown of creation-we know the story of the Adamic Fall-as we read Redemptive History the Son of God came-became flesh-the Lord Jesus Christ the Second Adam (Romans 5)-Jesus Christ as the Second Adam "because of the suffering death crowned with glory and honor" Hebrews 2:9 Christ's by His Cross Death was given all authority on earth and heaven-He has restored man once again as sovereign over the created order-notice not angels-in the eternal state angels will be servants to redeemed glorified humanity (Hebrews 1:6,7). It seems from Scripture that due to the work of Christ the Elect are higher than the elect angels (Hebrews 1:14) |
