Subject: does God intend for us to pay tithes |
Bible Note: Dear miller, Frankly, I'm not surprised that you don't seem to understand the concept of grace, otherwise you should be able to answer the question posed by CDBJ with ease. in reference to your argument, Please explain; if the reaping and sowing is for the here and now, then why was (as believed by many) Peter crucified? Why was Paul stoned and left for dead, then imprisoned and eventually relieved of the burden of carrying his own head on his shoulders? Why was Steven, while he was serving, accused and stoned to death for preaching the Word of God? If we are to receive our reward in the here and now, then why do so many Christians get the short end of the stick? Why do so many suffer from starvation and persecution? It's easy to look at the lives of a few and see there the blessings of God, and overlook the sufferings of many. Rom 11:34, For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, OR WHO BECAME HIS COUNSELOR? 35, Or WHO HAS FIRST GIVEN TO HIM THAT IT MIGHT BE PAID BACK TO HIM AGAIN? God bless John |
