Bible Question: Why was jonah angry at God for having mercy for the people of ninevah? |
Bible Answer: Because the Assyrians were very cruel. They committed some of the most hideous atrocities on their victims and I'm sure Jonah would have loved to see vengeance for what they had done to Israelites on many occasions. I think Jonah's feelings are very similar to people that know someone that lived a despicable life and then had a death bed salvation. However Jesus spoke a parable on the subject.
