Bible Question: I need to no the meaning of peace with God from scriptures Proverbs 167, Romans 5:1-2, and Romans 8:28-32, Ephesiansa 2:1-5, and Colossians 1:21-23 |
Bible Answer: Your first request- proverbs 16:7. First, its basically saying that you need to live at peace with God in your own heart. Look at 1 Corinthians 10:13. Then it goes on to say that your enemies, meaning those who do not love Jesus, will notice the way you act and respond compared to other people when they ridicule you. They will feel, most likely, that what they did was wrong and may or may not apologize. In Romans 5:1-2, its refering to Gods own personal peace with you. Psalm 11:5- 5The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates. Its saying that if you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and you continue to lead your life as Jesus did (not exactly of course. no one can be perfect) then Gods soul is at peace with you. The last three however, I do not see how they are relating to Gods peace |
