Bible Question:
what does this verse tell us about the famine? like i am guessing that it just states and proves how bad it is... but i was wondering if anyone knew the actual amount that would be in us dollars or equivalence. |
Bible Answer: Hi, Rachel... The donkey is not a kosher animal. Furthermore, its meat is pretty lousy by any standard. How much more so the portions of the animal that would normally discarded! Based on the current spot price of silver, the amount of money here would be equivalent to something over 400 USD. However, given the difficult circumstances of Samaria described in this passage, I'm not so certain one can give a proper conversion. In Him, Doc |
