Bible Question:
hello, thanks for the help in answering my question. I read the book of job, and am having a hard time understanding, if job was blameless, upright, fearing God and turning away from evil, why did god test him so harshly? It sounds like job was a good person, and I don't understand why god would allow all that happened to job. It almost seems like god was cruel by allowing satin to torture job? I know it was probably a test for job, but he really suffered a lot. thank you |
Bible Answer: Hi, Zeag... God does all things for His glory and for the good of His redeemed. Remember not to judge God by what He does, but rather judge what He does by Who He is. After all, look at His awesome perfection, beauty, power, and majesty as revealed to Job. If we could talk to Job now, he would tell us that the whole experience was nothing... mere peanuts... compared with the wondrous treasure of eternal life with God. See Philippians 3:8. The more clearly you see God, the dearly you will love Him, and more nearly you will walk with Him. In Him, Doc |
