Bible Question: How long did Job suffer? |
Bible Answer: Greetings! A few days ago I posted this answer to angelgirl who asked the same question. God allowed Job to suffer to accomplish His plan and purpose - that Job might know God through it. "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees You;" Job 42:5 (See Job 42:1-10.) To me, the length of time is insignificant but the outcome is what is important. When God removes a suffering, it demonstrates His sumpremacy. When God allows a suffering to remain, it demonstrates His sufficiency. There have been periods of suffering in my life that I thought would never end. Sometimes it was physical, other times it was emotional and more recently, it has been spritual. But through each of these experiences, I have grown closer to God and would not trade any of them! The secret to suffering is praise. I know it is a hard thing, but you can rejoice in the midst of suffering - we can ALWAYS praise and give thanks for Jesus! I hope this helps, mommapbs |
