NASB | 1 Kings 15:14 But the high places were not taken away; nevertheless the heart of Asa was wholly devoted to the LORD all his days. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Kings 15:14 But the high places [of idol worship] were not removed. Nevertheless, Asa's heart was entirely devoted to the LORD all his days. |
Bible Question (short): 1 King 15:14 Asa had gone astray? |
Question (full): 1 King 15:14 second part Asa's heart was fully committed to the Lord all his life (NIV) or all his days (both NASB and Amplified). 2 Chronicles 16, it mentioned that: Asa had done a foolish thing that he relied on the king of Aram (verse 7 to 9) Asa showed his resentment toward the seer's charge. He also relied not on God but the physicians concerning his feet illness. So, how should we interpret the description on 1 King 15:14 second part? Did Asa finally repent before his death? Thanks and in Christ. Azure |
