AMPLIFIED 2015 1 Kings 13:9 "For I was commanded by the word of the LORD, 'You shall not eat bread or drink water, nor shall you return by the way you came.'"

Bible Question:  Does anyone understand why this prophet was forbidden by God to return by the way he came? What difference would it make?

Bible Answer:  No one knows the mind of GOD so your question is best answered by prayer.with our thinking you could come up with GOD wanted too see his loyalty ,faith and obedience. (abraham and isaac gen 22)
