Bible Question:
1 Samuel 16:18-23 and 17:33-39 Described that Saul had met David and knew whose son was he (especially in v. 21-23). Why did Saul appeared to be not knowing David at all in chapter 17 v. 58 when they met again? Was Saul so old that his memory was poor? Thanks for your help. Shalom Azure |
Bible Answer: Saul did not ask: "Who is this?", as if he didn't know David. What he asked was: "Whose son is this youth?" He was asking for the name of David's father, not for David's name. Grace to you, Kalos |
