Bible Question: in the ten commandments it says 'do not murder'. david killed galiath, so what is the difference? why is allright for david to kill him? are we allowed to murder in self deffence? |
Bible Answer: I by no means am an authority on this but it seems to me that what David did was an attempt to protect the Jews and also to stand up for his God. Day after day Galiath was mocking God and threatening soldiers. If David had not killed him many of the Jews would have been lost. However this is also the old testimate view. If you were to look at Luke 6:29 you would see, that the Lord no longer encourages us to take vengance for wrong done to us. Justice is for the Lord to distribute. I hope this will help you. God bless. |
