Bible Question:
Ok, just picked up a bible (St James) and I have a question from page 1. I quote: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. My question is... who is 'us', let 'us' make man in 'our' image. God was not alone? This would also explain why he appears to be talking to himself (And god said, let there be light, etc etc...). |
Bible Answer: Hello Baxt; Welcome to the forum! Thats a very good question! I believe you are correct in thinking that God is talking to Himself. You see, God, is three persons. The Father, The Son, ( who is Jesus Christ), and The Holy Spirit. So, He is indeed, talking to Himself! :-) If you read (John 1:1-3), It should clear that up pretty well for you. God bless John |
