Subject: How does one win grace? |
Bible Note: I hope you don't want to play a game of "I can be more pedantic than you can!". We win is just an exuberant expression of the Victory that Jesus Christ won through His death and Resurrection, that we share (BECAUSE OF GRACE, that He wants to share it with us, not because we deserve it or earn it, He chose us), and as I said previously 'we' refers to Christ getting His bride, God getting His family and all of us living together in a new Creation with no evil or tears. That is put into a scenario of imagine you were reading a 'whodunit'. Normally the fun would be to read page by page until all is revealed on the last page. but if you can't bear the suspense, you can 'cheat' and look at the last page, which technically spoils the enjoyment of the rest of the book. The Bible isn't a 'whodunit', so it doesn't spoil anything to look at the last page; in fact, it's very encouraging (that's what the Book of Revelation is for, to show us that all the increasing mayhem we're having to live through is worth it in the end). It shows that God's plan WILL succeed, that there will be a glorious victorious ending - and WE are PART OF IT! Now I hope that settles it. |
