Bible Question: What made Abel's sacrifice acceptable, while Cain's was not? |
Bible Answer: To give an answer in-short it would be that Abel had faith in God and Cain did not. The bible tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God. I don't believe that is was the offerings themselves but the offerers. Before the tabernacle was built God told Moses He only wanted those with willing hearts to give. Paul echoes that in Corinthians when he says,"Give according to what you have purposed in your heart." It would not have made any difference to God what Cain had offered because He knew Cain's heart. Sorry I didn't give scripture. Jayell |
