Bible Question:
Thanks Meusing, The new testament does not in any way support such actions. Do we then say we accept completely the beliefs of the people of old or do we just say God's ways and thoughts are not like ours? Please help. |
Bible Answer: The Old Testament does not support suduction and rape either. Read Heb. 11 to see the faith and beliefs of the people of the old Testament. In Christ we live in communion with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Our actions afe based on our living in vital union with the Living God. Amos 4:13 For behold, He Who forms the mountains and creates the wind and DECLARES TO MAN WHAT IS HIS THOUGHT, Who makes the morning darkness and treads on the heights of the earth-- the Lord, the God of hosts, is His name! [Ps. 139:2; Dan. 2:28.] |
