Bible Question:
I'm studying 2 Samuel. In 2 Samuel 1:1-16 David found out about Saul's death and executed the guy who kill Saul. Why did he do this? Wouldn't he be happy that his enemy Saul was dead. What was the custom back then. I know David did not want to kill Saul because Saul was annoited. |
Bible Answer: Grretings seedling, Verse 17 said David lamented over Saul and Jonathan ... He wasn;t glad. You are right David executed the man because he claimed to have killed Saul. Some think he said so, hoping for a reward. Searcher |
