Bible Question: why God reprents for making saul as king |
Bible Answer: In the book of 2 Samuel the account is given of the relationship of Saul and the Lord as well as Saul and the Lord's prophet Samuel. The Lord gave Saul instructions through His prophet Samuel. Saul did not wait on Samuel but went ahead and offered sacrifices. The Lord gave Saul another chance and gave him instructions concerning the evil King Agag. Saul did not obey the Lord. This time the Lord torn the kingdom from Saul. All of this was revealed to Saul through the prophet Samuel. Samuel loved Saul and mourned this fact. The Lord had to prompt Samuel to move ahead. The message for us may be that we must keep moving forward. Things do not always turn out the way we want them and people may disappoint us by their disobedience to the Lord. It is our personal responsibility to obey the Lord. |
