Subject: Ham, Noah drinking wine |
Bible Note: Azure Evidently Adam and Eve were aware of nakedness as they hide from God because they were naked. So if they knew enough to hide their nakedness I think Noah should have to. As for drunkenness, getting drunk does not sneak up on you. You are fully aware of the transformation taking place in your body. God gave us sober spirits and I believe Noah understood what he was doing. Remember the sin nature had already entered man by this time. Also we have no idea what instructions God may have provided His people that were not recorded in the scripture. We often suppose because scripture doesn’t mention any dialogue between God and man there wasn’t any. Yet we know that Adam and Eve walked with God in the garden, I imagine they talked about a lot of things. We know God talked to Able and Cain after the fall as well as to Noah. Lastly we have to trust God. He has declared Himself just and if we really believe that then what Noah did, Noah did full well knowing it was sinful. What Ham did Ham did full well knowing it was sinful. |
