NASB | Genesis 6:7 The LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 6:7 So the LORD said, "I will destroy (annihilate) mankind whom I have created from the surface of the earth--not only man, but the animals and the crawling things and the birds of the air--because it [deeply] grieves Me [to see mankind's sin] and I regret that I have made them." |
Subject: How did God repopulate water creatures? |
Bible Note: Dear Ready, Gen 1:2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the WATERS. Gen 1:9 Then God said, "Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so. Gen 1:10 God called THE DRY LAND EARTH, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good. Gen 7:4 ...and I will blot out from the FACE OF THE LAND every living thing that I have made." Gen 7:34 Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the FACE OF THE LAND, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky... So, base on the scriptures above, it does not support that the creatures in water were destroyed. This is just my 2 cents. I am open to biblical correction. Shalom Azure |
