AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 6:4 There were Nephilim (men of stature, notorious men) on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God lived with the daughters of men, and they gave birth to their children. These were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown (great reputation, fame). [Num 13:33] |

Bible Note: Greetings in the Lord. Here's a little somthing to consider. The Hebrew Word for "sons of G*D" is "Bene Ha Elohim". The word any other place in the Tanak( old testament)is translated Angles.(Job 1:6,2:1,38:7, for a few). You are correct in saying Matt 22:30 does not say Angles "cannot" be given in marriage, it refrences "will" not. Another tid-bit for us all to chew on is "the daughters of man" in Genesis 6. The hebrew word for "daughters of man" is "Benoth Adam", which would better translate "daughters of adam". This kinda leaves the "lines of Seth", and the "daughters of Cain" out of this equation. This is not a salvation issue, still it is good to be diligent in our studies of G*d's word. Another reason I stress this is because I do not believe we are done with these Nephilim. For a little more insight into this topic, there is a briefing package Koinonia House offers by Chuck Missler, " The Return of the Nephilim", 1997. I hope this helps, In Christ, Servant7 |
