AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 6:4 There were Nephilim (men of stature, notorious men) on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God lived with the daughters of men, and they gave birth to their children. These were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown (great reputation, fame). [Num 13:33] |
Subject: Who did Cain marry to have children? |
Bible Note: Since Adam and Eve are the father and mother of all humans, it makes sense that there was definite intermarriage for a time. Adam was 130 years old when Seth was born (Genesis 5:3). Adam lived 930 years total and the scripture says he begat many sons and daughters. That was all there was, they had to intermarry. Cain probably married a sister or a niece. Eventually God put limits on who you could marry. |
