Bible Note: Tim, In his book "They Shall Expel Demons" page 91, Derek Prince states two possible origins of demons: 1. fallen angels associated with Satan in his rebellion against God. 2. disembodied spirits of a pre-Adamic race that perished under some judgement of God not recorded in detail in Scripture. Mr. Prince goes into more detail in his book. He acknowledges that it is impossible to say with certainty which, if either, of these explanations is true. He considers if foolish to pursue the matter much farther than that. However, based on his experience in dealing with them, Mr. Prince tends to beleive demons are the disembodied spirits of a pre-Adamic race. I am challenging the assumption that demons are fallen angels only because scripture does NOT prove this is the case. It is only one possible explanation. Respectfully yours, Galen |
