AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 6:3 Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive and remain with man forever, because he is indeed flesh [sinful, corrupt--given over to sensual appetites]; nevertheless his days shall yet be a hundred and twenty years." |
Bible Question (short): What do the 120 years pertain to? |
Question (full): In Gen. 6:3, the Lord said that the days of man would be 120 years. So, my question is: Does the 120 pertains to the life of man before the flood or after? Because in Gen. the 5th chapt. it says that Noah was 500 years old when he had his sons and in chapter 6 it states that Noah was 600 years old when he entered the ark. |
