Bible Question: Who was the father of the ten tribes of Israel? |
Bible Answer: Greetings again Angelface, Isaac was the son of Abraham. Isaac had a son named Jacob, and Jacob was the father of twelve sons: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Zebulun, Issachar, Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Joseph and Benjamin. These twelve sons, and their descendants that followed, became known as the twelve tribes of Israel. Jacob is actually renamed "Israel" by the Lord (Genesis 35:10). - Makarios |
