Bible Question: genesis44:18-45:16why did judah want to stay instead of benjamin?why did god want joseph in egypt? |
Bible Answer: Greetings CMOORE, Genesis 44:30-34 "Now therefore when I come to thy servant my father, and the lad is not with us, since his life is bound up in the lad's life, it will come to pass, when he sees that the lad is not with us, that he will die. And thy servants will bring down the gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to Sheol. For thy servant became surety for the lad to my father, saying, If I do not bring him to thee, then I shall bear the blame to my father forever. Now therefore, let thy servant, I pray thee, abide a bondman to my lord instead of the lad, and let the lad go up with his brothers. For how shall I go up to my father, if the lad be not with me? Lest I see the evil that shall come on my father." [ACV] Genesis 45:5 "And now be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life." [ACV] Genesis 45:7 "And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on the earth, and to save you alive by a great deliverance." [ACV] - Makarios |
