Bible Question: In Genesis 3 How does Cain and Abel know that they should give animal sacrifices? |
Bible Answer: Hello Godfirst There are theories that Adam either understood about the blood sacrifice because of the skins given by God to cover Eve and him; or God told Adam what was correct, and he passed it on to his sons. We don't know. What we DO know is that Abel acted out of faith. Hebrews 11:4 (ESV) By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. And through his faith, though he died, he still speaks. Steve |
