NASB | Genesis 4:14 "Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and from Your face I will be hidden, and I will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 4:14 "Behold, You have driven me out this day from the face of the land; and from Your face (presence) I will be hidden, and I will be a fugitive and an [aimless] vagabond on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me." |
Bible Question: "whoever" finds me will kill me. Who are these other people? I thought at that time there was only Adam, Eve and Cain. |
Bible Answer: Greetings! Why do you assume there was only the three? Genesis 4:17 speaks of Cain having relations with his wife. So obviously there were others :-) Keep in mind the Scriptures are not always a detailed description of every person born, every minute of every day etc... After all, just look at verse 17. Cain had relations with his wife, she gave birth to Enoch, and Cain built a city all in one verse :-) God bless, Steve |
