Bible Question: Should jacob hae waited in Shecham 10 years before moving?? |
Bible Answer: We don't know exactly how long Jacob stayed in Shecham, some Bible scholars put the time at 10 or 11 years. Jacob had vowed to go to Bethel when he stopped at Shecham. In previous verses Jacob attested to the fragile condition of the his people and flocks. Obviously they needed a rest. After the incidence with Dinah God told Jacob to leave and go to Bethel which he did. |
