Bible Question:
In looking at several OT stories I see that the people of God had "house hold idols", and I am trying to understand what there were. Here are some other examples. 1 Samuel 19:13 Michal took the household idol and laid it on the bed, and put a quilt of goat's hair at its head, and covered it with clothes. Judges 18:14, 18 - apparently a priest had house hold idols, and graven images, and molten images. In light of Exodus 20:4 - I am trying to understand how this could be? Why did the people of God in the OT have house hold idols? Just a worthless son. blessings abound, bowler |
Bible Answer: Hi, bowler... With the constant exposure to the heathens around them, adopting their practices should not surprise us. This shouldn't surprise us. Superstition is alive and well today. In Him, Doc |
