AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 3:24 So God drove the man out; and at the east of the Garden of Eden He [permanently] stationed the cherubim and the sword with the flashing blade which turned round and round [in every direction] to protect and guard the way (entrance, access) to the tree of life. Subject: Why did God block access to the tree of |
Bible Note: Perhaps someone has already answered this, but access to the tree of life was done in mercy, so that man would not live forever in a body racked by sin, sickness, and torment. In Revelations men wish to die and are not able. What an awful place to be. God did not leave man. He spoke to them after the Garden. But, he didn't want them to eat and (according to Gen. 3:22) live forever in that state. Redemption gave us a new spirit, and later will give us a new body too. Be blessed. |
