Bible Question:
I was hoping that someone could lead me in the right direction. I am searching for where in the bible I could find what is said about "the keeper of man". I work in a prison and an inmate roughly qouted a verse about this and I would like to find it in my bible to read it for myself to find out what context it was written. The good news to all is that yes, even in prison God is talked about and thought about. Thanks in advance. |
Bible Answer: Hi, Looking4Answers! I am not sure if this is the passage which you are looking for: Genesis 28:15: Be sure that I am with you; I will keep you safe wherever you go, and bring you back to this land, for I will not desert you before I have done all that I have promised you." Another version reads: And I will be thy keeper whithersoever thou goest, and will bring thee back into this land: neither will I leave thee, till I shall have accomplished all that I have said. This particular Bible passage talks about Jacob's dream at Bethel (Jacob's Ladder). In the dream, Jacob receives Yahweh's promise that He will protect him wherever he goes. God Bless! Angel |
